Mental Well-being

Meditation and Mindfulness 

It is important to acknowledge the shoulders we stand upon. The following mindfulness and spiritual teachers have inspired my work: 

  • Toward Stillness Meditations founded by Tony Murdock. My first meditation teacher who continues to inspire me. Tony's approach integrates essential elements of meditation, yoga philosophy, world mysticism, spiritual leadership, compassionate living, and the basic principles of Healing Meditation.
  • Unified Mindfulness (UM) is a secular skill-based system of mindfulness developed by American Mindfulness Teacher Shinzen Young. UM offers a  free virtual, online, self-paced mindfulness training program and group coaching.  
  • Tara Brach, Ph.D. is a spiritual teacher, psychologist and author of several international bestselling books. 
  • Jack Kornfield, PH.D. is one of the key teachers to introduce mindfulness practice to the West and is the author of 16 books.
  • Jon Kabat-Zinn  the developer and founder of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) credited for bringing the ancient Buddhist meditation practice of mindfulnes into mainstream medicine, health care, science, and beyond.
